I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself: Born and educated in England, where I served my apprenticeship and also graduated from the Leeds College of Technology in 1964. I arrived in the United States and worked in the Washington, DC area until moving westward to San Francisco (1969). Apart from a 2 year sabbatical in Australia (1971-73), the Bay Area has always been "Home Base" during this period of time. My last employer, before establishing British Automotive in 1978, was British Motor Car Distributors (San Francisco); it was here that I worked in numerous capacities, ranging from Mechanic, Service Writer, Warranty Claims and Line Foreman. During my period of time in the United States, I have accumulated the experience and knowledge to be able to respond intelligently to any information you may require. As an MGB/MGA enthusiast, you may ask "where are
the glossy parts catalogs and flyers etc. that other companies send out?" Well,
I can be totally honest and say "I can't bloody afford it!" I prefer to keep
the cost down and pass these savings on to you. My "hands on" approach ensures
that you will always have personal contact with me. I am not a salesman, and I
am not here to sell you products that don't work. All my specialty items have
been proven and are guaranteed to perform, that's why we chose the slogan
"Products that Perform."
